Hunt enthused by opposition insults
December 17, 2007
Reading and Ireland winger Stephen Hunt admits the jibes from opposition players and fans gives him the inspiration to continue his career progress.
The spiky Waterford lad won and converted the Royals’ penalty in a 1-1 draw with Birmingham City at St Andrews on Saturday.
Afterwards, he said: “I may be a nuisance and my hair gets stick, but sometimes that can be a compliment. Maybe people think I’m effective.
“Our [Reading’s] away form hasn’t been good but it’s important we stick together. If we can pick up another few wins everything will look rosy again.”
