Keane has been in sensational form this season, scoring 14 Premier League goals to lead the club’s scorers’ charts.

Manager Juande Ramos is said to have informed the club’s board that only five players are not for sale in the summer, including the Ireland captain.

Keane’s strike partner Dimitar Berbatov and defenders Ledley King, Alan Hutton and Jonathan Woodgate are the other players safe from the axe at the end of the season.
