Reid future at Blackburn uncertain as Bolton consider bid
November 24, 2009
Steven Reid’s uncertain future at Blackburn Rovers has alerted Premier League rivals Bolton Wanderers to a possible January transfer offer.
Reid failed to start a league fixture in almost 15 months due to a serious knee injury.
The 28-year-old was sent out on loan to Coca-Cola Championship side QPR last week and played 90 minutes in the Loftus Road side’s surprise 2-0 defeat at Doncaster.
His contract at Ewood Park is set to expire at the end of the season but Reid could make a permanent move before then with Bolton boss Gary Megson keeping tabs on his progress.
According to local media reports, he could be available for as little as £500,000 if Bolton were to make a firm offer in the January transfer window.
