  Big Tam - Tommy Gemmell
Even among giants of men, Tommy Gemmell was an exceptional player and his place in the hearts of all Celtic fans was cemented by his distuinguished displays for the club at domestic, European and World club championship levels.

  Martin O'Neill
Martin O'Neill took over the reigns at Parkhead at the beginning of the 2000/01 season, promising to "pursue a dream". Within two seasons he had delivered five trophies to Celtic Park, and in May 2003 led the Celts to their first European final since 1970.

  Ronnie Simpson
Two days before the Scottish league title decider of May 1967, Celtic 'keeper Ronnie Simpson had become only the second ever Celtic player to be named Scottish Footballer of the Year.

  Billy McNeill
From his arrival at Parkhead for just £250 in 1957, right through to the present day, Billy McNeill is inextricably associated with Celtic F.C. A member of the famous nine-in-a-row team of the '60s and '70s, the captain of the side that won the European Champions Cup with victory over Internazionale in the final in 1967, McNeill was a genuine leader of men.

  Jimmy McGrory
The holder of a British goalscoring record, once the scorer of an amazing EIGHT goals in one match, Jimmy McGrory - the wing wizard from the '20s and '30s - is deserving of his place in the pantheon of Celtic legends.

  Henrik Larsson
The son of a Swedish mother and a sea-faring father from the Cape Verde islands, Henrik Larsson's selection in the autumn of 2002 as one of the best eleven players in the history of Celtic Football Club aptly reflected the player's contribution to the Parkhead outfit since he was lured to Glasgow from Feyenoord by former mentor Wim Jansen in July 1997.

  Jim Craig
A member of the famed Lisbon Lions, Jim Craig was a player who turned the business of overlapping in support of his frontmen into an art form - with devastating effect.

  Jock Stein
Jock Stein moulded Celtic into the most formidable side in Europe, guiding them to European Cup title in 1967 with a team comprised exclusively of local talent.

  Kenny Dalglish
Kenny Dalglish signed for Celtic as a raw 16-year-old in 1967, the same year the European Cup landed in Glasgow. A boyhood Rangers fan, he was reluctant to join at first, but his contribution during ten wonderful years made him a Celtic idol.

  Jimmy Johnstone
Jimmy 'Jinky' Johnstone encapsulated, in that small frame, everything that was good about Jock Stein's Celtic. Promoted from the reserves by Stein, the right-winger went on to become one of Celtic's key men in the European Cup triumph of 1967.
