Bhoys close in on Samaras move

Celtic manager Gordon Strachan is close to finalising the permanent transfer of Greek striker Georgios Samaras from Manchester City.
Turkish side Fenerbahce and Germany’s Werder Bremen have also been linked with Samaras, who was on duty at the Euro 2008 finals last month.
But the 23-year-old, spent the second half of last season on loan at Parkhead, looks poised to sign a permanent deal in Glasgow this week.
Glasgow’s Evening Times reports on Tuesday that the player is close to finalising the switch.
