KEY PLAYER
Two years after Le Headbutt ended Zinedine Zidane's sensational career, Ribery has manfully stepped
into the breach in the national side. Certain to suffer from unfair comparisons with Zizou - as in, say, the
previous sentence - but after a fine season with Bayern Munich, he looks ready to assume a central role.
Other young Frenchman such as Arsenal target Samir Nasri and Lyon strike ace Karim Benzema look primed for
big performances, but Ribery is the axis around which Domenech's side revolves.
